How to Use Brackets?
Brackets are like magic boxes that let you calculate what's inside first! Look at these examples:
Without brackets:
First calculate 3 × 4 = 12,
Then calculate 2 + 12 = 14
With brackets:
First calculate what's in brackets 2 + 3 = 5,
Then calculate 5 × 4 = 20
Tips
- If you make a mistake, press the "Clear" button to start over
- Brackets must be used in pairs, with equal numbers of left "(" and right ")" brackets
- First enter the expression, then press the equals "=" button to see the result
- A different animal will help you each time you calculate!
- If the sounds are too loud, you can turn them off by clicking the sound button in the top right corner
